Eleven games across ESPN family of networks began December 8. Grassroots Hoops FAB 50 No. 1 Montverde Academy to appear twice, including December 12 matchup with No. 6 Bishop O’Dowd (Oakland, Calif.). Bishop O’Dowd and No. 2 Oak Hill Academy (Mouth of Wilson, Va.) also will appear twice.
The 2014-15 GEICO ESPN High School Basketball Showcase will feature 11 games across ESPN’s family of networks and highlights 15 teams currently ranked in the Grassroots Hoops FAB 50 National Rankings. Teams from 14 different states will be represented in the matchups involving highly-regarded teams that contain some of the nation’s best recruits.
Those teams include: No. 1 Montverde Academy Montverde (Fla.), No. 2 Oak Hill Academy (Mouth of Wilson, Va.), No. 3 Findlay Prep (Henderson, Nev.), No. 6 Bishop O’Dowd (Oakland, Calif.), No. 8 Wheeler (Marietta, Ga.), No. 11 Simeon (Chicago, Ill.), No. 13 Plano West (Plano, Texas), No. 14 Sierra Canyon (Chatsworth, Calif.), No. 15 Hamilton (Memphis, Tenn.), No. 16 Paul VI (Fairfax, Va.), No. 30 DeMatha Catholic (Hyattsville, Md.), No. 32 Chaminade (St. Louis, Mo.), No. 33 Villa Angela-St. Joseph (Cleveland, Ohio), No. 44 Dominican (Whitefish Bay, Wis.) and No. 46 Callaway (Jackson, Miss.).
Teams ranked in the preseason and already dropped from the FAB 50 that will appear include Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas, Nev.) and St. Rita (Chicago, Ill.).
