Three new teams crack this week’s GrassrootsHoops.net FAB 50 national rankings, including one that fell out for just a week. The state playoffs around the country are coming into focus and for some of teams that don’t participate, such as No. 1 Montverde Academy  of Florida, the focus shifts to the end-of-season Dick’s Nationals Tournament in New York.

Only one new team cracks this week’s GrassrootsHoops.net FAB 50 national rankings. It’s longtime NYC power Lincoln (Brooklyn, N.Y.), but it came at the expense of another Big Apple squad. Oak Hill Academy (Mouth of Wilson, Va.) continued to build its resume as the nation’s top team with a 63-52 win over Bishop O’Dowd (Oakland, Calif.) at the Nike Extravaganza. It was a game the Warriors were in control of and it was their second victory over the Dragons this season

No. 3 Oak Hill Passes 1st Nike X Test

FAB 50 No. 3 Oak Hill Academy (Mouth of Wilson, Va.) outlasts No. 17 Sierra Canyon (Chatsworth, Calif.) 64-60 in its first game on California soil in eight years. For Sierra Canyon, it was a better showing and a lesson-builder for the upcoming CIF Southern Section Open Division playoffs.
